Message: The Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA) and Yuva Parivartan (YP) are initiating a program for empowering vulnerable youths through Vocational Education. The program is being brought to India by International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF), an international charity registered in the United Kingdom. The Youth Career Initiative (YCI) is a program of IBLF which runs successfully in several countries like Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Egypt etc. We are doing a pilot project of "Hospitality" training with YCI (Youth Career Initiative, a UK based NGO) as YCI has appointed KSWA as local NGO partner. This program is run in collaboration with leading 5 star hotels of Mumbai like The Four Seasons-Worli, Renaissance-Powai, Courtyard Marriot-Andheri East, JW Marriot-Juhu, The Park-Belapur CBD, Hyatt Regency-Airport Road Trident-Bandra Kulra Complex. Training will be conducted at above mentioned hotels. Students will be sent to the nearest hotel to their residence. Hotels will be training 60 students who needs to meet following criteria. 1. Any male/female in the age group of 18-24. 2. Min 8th passed 3. Not from well-to-do family background 4. Should not be working or studying currently It will be a 6 months, 6 days a week & 8 hours a day training which includes 40% classroom & 60% practical sessions. Training will be in 15 different areas like kitchen,room service,housekeeping,restaurant & bar etc. Training is free of cost. Student will get Rs. 2000 stipend during training. Student will get free on duty meal International Certification in collaboration with YCI, hotels & KSWA Student will get job either in same hotel or any other hotel or establishment with support of KSWA with starting salary of at least Rs. 6000 Last date of accepting applications is 25th April 2012 Training will start by 11th June In between period, information sessions with hotel manager, students & their parents will happen at hotel to make aware about the working conditions. English & Computer classes will be also organized for potential students.     I am from hospitality industry worked with hotel industry, fms and corporates. I have just finished a project with TISS & NGO for training of juvenile kids on housekeeping. I would like to know if you are looking out for housekeeping trainers for your above sessions. I will be interested in being a part of it.
