Job Summary: A caring, committed adult, educator and role model for 20 boys age 6 to 17, living in a shelter home in South Delhi. Organisation: We are a young but quickly growing Indo/French NGO in Delhi, implementing new standards to shelter and educate children in need of care and protection. We are running two shelter homes in South Delhi: Tara Boys and Tara Tots. Duties and Responsibilities: Taking care of the children day-by-day, the CWO is responsible for the children's overall well being, security, health and manners. He/she makes sure the daily timetable is happening smoothly, supervises the children. He/she is responsible for the children protection and participation to the decision making process at Tara, he/she makes sure that the best interest of the children are always prior to any decision taken by the team. He/she develops and maintains a network of understanding health professionals with whom he/she works in partnership. The CWO works in partnership with the families of the children, nurturing the link to keep the children grounded. The CWO produces the children in front of the Child Welfare Committee. He/she is an articulate professional, able to take initiatives, playing a major role in thinking/decision making processes, writing and implementing policies, very organized and sharp. Profile required Graduate with excellent English Strongly motivated to work with children and be part of an innovative experience Good organizational skills Ability to manage Ability to work in team Proficiency in MS Office skills Experience in working /interacting with children Good knowledge of the JJ Act is a plus Personality: The CWO is a sweet and understanding person but is also able when necessary to show leadership and authority. Maturity and a stable personality are highly important. Location: Close to Malviya Nagar. Salary: Undisclosed Working days: Tuesday to Saturday. Working days: Weekdays: 1pm to 9pm. Saturday: 10am to 9pm. Leaves: 25 working days a year.
